A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSIDER
THE SALE TO THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
FOR REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
ACQUIRED FOR PARKING SPACES IN VEHICLE PARKING
DISTRICT NO. 1.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
has heretofore established Lynwood Vehicle Parking District
No. l, which said District is described in detail in Section
19-143 of the Lynwood City Code; and
WHEREAS, certain property located within said
District may no longer be required for parking purposes and
may be available for sale to the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency
for redevelopment in accordance with the Redevelopment Plan
heretofore adopted by said Agency for its Redevelopment
Project Area A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
wishes to consider the possible sale of such property for
redevelopment purposes pursuant to the provisi~i~s of Section
31851.5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City ~ouncil of the City of
Lynwood hereby does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.

incorporated herein as though set forth
SECTION 2. In connection with such consideration,
the City Council wi11 hold a public hearing on the first day
of June, 1976, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., or as soon
thereaf±er as the matter can be heard, in the Chambers of the
City Cou.ncil, City Hall, 11330 Bu11is Road, Lynwood, Californ.ia,
at which time and place said City Council will hear and consider
any and all objections and other information relevant to such
possible sale.
SECTION 3. Owners of property located within Lynwood
Vehicle Parking District No. 1 who object to such possible
sale of said properties may file written objection thereto
with the City Clerk at any time prior to the hour fixed for
the hearing.
SECTION 4. The Ci±y Clerk hereby is authorized and
directed to yive notice of the said public rearing by publishing
a copy of this resolution in the I,ynwood Press, a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published within the Cit~, at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
Copies of this resolution shall a].so be posted on each of the
properties described in the aforesaid Exhibit "A" at least
ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is further authorized
and directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to
be delivered to the Lynwood Traffic and Parking Commission,
the Board of Commissioners of Vehicle Parking District No. 1,
and to the Lynwood Planning Commission for their reports to
this City Council.
