RESOLUTION NO. 76-46
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Lynwood endorsing
Propositions R and T on the June 8, 1976 Ballot calling for the construc-
tion and operation of the 5unset Coast Line, a mass rapid transit system
for Los Angeles.
WHEREA5, it is demonstratively evident that the citizens of
Los Angeles County need a reliabie, efficient and financially reasonable
mass rapid transit system; and
WHEREAS, the costs for construction and maintenance of such a
system shall be consistent with the monies available for suchactivities;
and
WHEREA5, such a system should serve all the citizens of the County
who will have to pay for it; and
WHEREAS, main routes of the proposed Sunset Coast Line will
directly serve the citizens of the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, Propositions R and T purport to satisfy these conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
5ection 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood goes on
record as favoring the passage of Propositions R and T on the June 8,
1976 Ballot.
Section 2. The City Cierk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and send copies to the Mayors of the other cities to be served
by the 5unset Coast Line, to the Board of Directors of the Southern

California Rapid Transit District, and to the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles.
