HomeMy Public PortalAbout2022-21 Resolution Reestablishing Precincts and Polling PlacesResolution No. 2022-21 March 15, 2022 Member Cavanaugh introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2022-21 RESOLUTION REESTABLISHING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Minnesota has been redistricted; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute section 204B.14, subd. 3 (d) requires that precinct boundaries must be reestablished within 60 days of when the legislature has been redistricted or at least 19 weeks before the state primary election, whichever comes first; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Medina, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota hereby reestablishes the boundaries of the voting precincts and polling places as follows: Precinct 1 – Orono & Delano School Districts: That part of the City of Medina which lies within: Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, Township 118 North, Range 23 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota; And the North half of Section 25; And the North half of Section 26; And the North half of Section 27; And the North half of Section 28; And the North half of Section 29; And the North half of Section 30; And the South half of Section 14; And the South half of Section 15; And Section 4, except for the Northeast quarter of said Section; And Section 9, except for the Northeast quarter of said Section; And the Southwest quarter of Section 13; And the South half of the Southeast quarter of Section 13. Precinct 2 – Wayzata & Rockford School Districts: That part of the City of Medina which lies within: Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, and 12, Township 118 North, Range 23 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota; And the North half of Section 13; And the North half of Section 14, And the North half of Section 15; And the Northeast quarter of Section 4; And the Northeast quarter of Section 9; And the North half of the Southeast quarter of Section 13.
