The lillellsburg Town Council met in special session on
March 18, 1971, with Mayor Ross presiding and all council-
men present.
A motion was made by Ecl-hoff, seconded by Claassen, to
approve the Resolution of Necessity for the curb and gutter
program as prepared by the town attorney, T. J. Heronimus,
and setting April 12, 1971, at 7:30 P.m. in the council
chambers as the time and place for the hearing on the pro-
posed program.

Edkhoff
Nays: None
Absent: None Motion Carried.
There being no further business, the meeting stood
adjourned.

5 1971 with Mayor Ross presiding and all council members

Viinutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion
by Eckhoff, seconded by Claassen. Carried.

On a motion by Claassen, seconded by Hippen, it was agreed
to grant a two weeks annual sick leave to city employees if
said employee had been confined to a hospital with recuper—
ation at home on a doctor's orders. Carried.
Willard Ross, as a member of the Grundy Co. Landfill
Commission, presented a suggested proposal made by the Com—
mission for an annual assessment for the town at the rate of
$3.79 per capita in lieu of a per tonnage assessment currently
in use. The council tabled the proposal.
On a motion by Eckhoff, seconded by Huisman, the meeting
stood adjourned.
Mayor Clerk
The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on April
129 1971, with Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen present.
Purpose of the meeting was to allow citizens an opportunity
to voice objections and recommendations for the Proposed 1971
Curb and Gutter Program for the Town of Wellsburg. A signed
letter of protest was received from Dr. C. C. Graham.
On a motion by Eckhoff, seconded by Claassen, the Resolution
of Necessity for the Proposed 1971 Curb and Gutter Program was
adopted on a roll call of votes.
Ayes: Eckhoff, Hippen, Iiuisman, Claassen, Van Deest
Nays: None Absent: None
A motion was made by Hippen, seconded by Huisman, to adopt a
resolution ordering construction of street improvements with the
bid letting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 11, 1971. Roll call
of votes was as follows:
Ayes: Eckhoff, Hippen, Huisman, Claassen, Van Deest.
Nays: None Absent: None
There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned.
Mayor Clerk
The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on April
22, 1971, with Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen present.
George Paterni, Kenneth Cordes, and Gene Blythe met with the
council concerning sewer connections for sections of the town
under consideration for development as residential areas. The
clerk was instructed to contact Hollis Ryken for preliminary
costs and advisable recommendations for routing.
