AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
~I~GINE~RING S~IIVICES
WItEREAS, there exists a need for professional services to solicit
quotations, prepare a report upon quotations, and implement the
construction phase of the Police Station-Fire Door Installation Project;
;and
WH~, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a) professional services are
exempt from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WH~, the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available.
NOW, TH~IREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of KIIIAM ASSOCIATES
at a maximum cost of not to exceed $2,400.00
billable per attached contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVe1), that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute said contract.
iT IS FbllTH~lt RESOLV~J), that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a) due to the specialized
and professional nature of the services provided.

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform thc following
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO SOLICIT QUOTATIONS, PREPARE A REPORT
UPON QUOTATIONS AND IMPLEMENT THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE OF TIlE

NOT TO EXCEED $2,400.00.
According to the terms set forth in Resolution.
THE INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT ON THE
REVERSE OF THE PURCHASE ORDER SHALL
BE LIMITED TO THE VENDOR'S NEGLIGENT
OR WRONGFUL ACTS.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their hands and seals or
caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
seals to be hereto affixed, the day and year written above.
