APPLYING FOR AND AUTHORIZING THE DOROUGH TO ENTER INTO
S500,OOO CDDG ALLOCATION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY
OF MIDDLESEX FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
CARTERET HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER
WHEREAS, the Borough is a municipal corporation, which is qualified to receive public funds under Title
I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, for the purpose of Constructing ,8 Borough
owned Health & Weltness Center; and
WHEREAS, the Middlesex "Urban County" Housing and Community Development Committee bas
reviewed and recommended approval to the County Board of Chosen Freeholders, a proposal from the
Borough for a CDBG agreement for a $500,000 multi~year allocation of said amount towards the Health &
Wellness Center; and
WHEREAS, the Borough is desirous of entering into such an agreement with the County of Middlesex for
said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayorand,Council of the Borough ofCarteret as
follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to take the necessary Steps
to submit a formal request to the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders to
enter into above referenced CDBq Allocation Agreement for the Borough of Carteret
Health & Wellness Center.
2. That the Mayor is hereby aut,horized to execute any such final agreement according to its
Terms.
