HomeMy Public PortalAbout16318 Spoede Road Sanitary Sewer Improvements (13623)O R D I N A N C E NO. 16318 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in Spoede Road Sanitary Sewer Improvements (13623) in the Cities of Frontenac and Creve Coeur, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53071 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Four Hundred Ninety- Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-One Dollars and Six Cents ($499,991.06) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty Thousand Eight Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents ($80,008.94); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Spoede Road Sanitary Sewer Improvements (13623) in the Cities of Frontenac and Creve Coeur, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53071 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction in Spoede Road Sanitary Sewer Improvements (13623) in the cities of Frontenac and Creve Coeur, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 9th day of January, 2024. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 14, 2024
