HomeMy Public PortalAbout16319 Glenmary to White Rose Storm Improvements (11314)O R D I N A N C E NO. 16319 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($540,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of University City to be used for storm sewer construction in Glenmary to White Rose Storm Improvements (11314) in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53073 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Hundred Ninety Thousand One Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($390,117.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Three Dollars (149,883.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($540,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of University City for storm sewer construction in Glenmary to White Rose Storm Improvements (11314) in the City of Olivette, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53073 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer construction in Glenmary to White Roes Storm Improvements (11314) in the City of Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 16th day of January, 2024. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 14, 2024
