ORDINANCE NO.16-2015
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.40-2014 KNOWN AS
THE 2015 SALARY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer, deputy and other employes of the City Departments, except Police
Officers and Firefighters, prior to September 30 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and
WHETS• Said statute allows the City Clerk to fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of the Clerks office prior to September 30 for the ensuing budget year
subject to the approval of Common Council; and
WHEREAS,
The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer,
deputy and other employee of the Dity Departments set forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's Office, except by amendment approved by
Common Council; and
WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance 40 2014 to establish salaries for the year 2015 and now fords it necessary to amend the salary and position
title of the Director of the DepmUnent of Metropolitan Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, be A ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the following position

TEMPORARY AND PART-TIME
In addition to the positions set forth above, the Mayor and the City Department Heads may, as needed, hire and compensate part-time or temporary
employees as permitted by their respective budgets. Compensation for these positions may range from $7.25 to $15.00 per hour.
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
In additive to the salaries set forth above, certain employees, excluding members of the Board of Works, the Aviation Board and the Park and Recreation
Board, may be entitled to additional compensation, Richmond Personnel Policy or as stated in negotiated contracts.
