COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, IND]LANA
ORDINANCE NO.20-2015 G
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT
FROM THE WEST END BANK FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any
documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any
other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive
administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the
legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any
monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, The West End Bank Foundation has grant funding available through its "West End
Bank Charitable Foundation' grant program and if said funds are awarded to the
City, the Parks Department wishes to use the grant to fund the 2015 Outdoor Summer
Movie Series; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond Parks Department has submitted or will submit a grant
application to obtain funds for the 2015 Outdoor Summer Movie Series held by the
Parks Department; and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks Department has submitted or will submit, as authorized by
IC 36-1-4-10, a grant application to the West End Bank Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Parks Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in
an amount up to Four Thousand One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars and Zero Cents
($4,125.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded, shall be appropriated to fund the 2015 Outdoor Summer Movie
Series held by the Parks Department.
Passed and adopted this day of , 2015, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
