COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
MINUTES
JUNE 19, 1984
INITIATION:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Swain called the meeting to order at 8:40 p.m. in the
Council Chamber of the City Hall.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Members- Atkins, Dennis, Gillanders, Tyrell, Swain
Absent: Members -None
Also Present: Executive Director Koski, General Counsel Martin
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
On motion by Mr. Gillanders, seconded by Mr. Dennis, the minutes of
the regular meeting held June 5, 1984, were approved as written.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
None.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
A. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF SITE REDESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A
CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA FOR BURGER KING AT 5541 N. ROSEMEAD BLVD.
Executive Director Koski presented background information stating
the Planning Commission at their June 12, 1984, meeting approved a
request for a modification of conditional use permit for a children's
play area adjacent to the existing Burger King Restaurant in the
Community Redevelopment Area. In association with the play area
the parking and circulation will be redesigned to allow adequate
parking and a drive -thru circulation pattern with reduced vehicular -
pedestrian conflicts.
Because the applicant was not present, the Agency continued the matter
to their July 17th meeting to enable the applicant ample opportunity
to confer with his legal counsel and be present at the public hearing.

7. MATTERS FROM AGENCY MEMBERS:
None.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
On motion by Mr. Gillanders, seconded by Mr. Atkins, meeting adjourned
at 8:50 p.m. Next regular meeting of the Community Redevelopment
Agency will be held Tuesday, July 3, 1984, 8 p.m. in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall.
