HomeMy Public PortalAbout13-8681 Purchase of 35 2013 Chevy Tahoes Sponsored by: Commissioner Holmes Resolution No. 13-8681 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE THIRTY-FIVE (35), 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOES, FOR THE OPA-LOCKA POLICE DEPARTMENT, PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT NUMBERS 22- 521648, A NON BUDGETED ITEM; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to purchase thirty-five (35), 2013 Chevrolet Tahoes for the Opa-locka Police Department to assist the Police in their mission; and WHEREAS, the vehicles will be purchased from a vendor at the lowest available price, at a cost to be determined by available piggyback contract, over a 48 or 60 month period; and WHEREAS, the purchase and installation of equipment for the Tahoes will be included in the price; and WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes the City Manager to purchase 35 Chevrolet Tahoes for the Opa-locka Police Department, at the lowest available cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka directs and authorizes the City Manager to purchase thirty-five (35) 2013 Chevrolet Tahoes, at the lowest available Resolution No. 13-8681 cost uitilizing a piggyback contract of 48 or 60 months, payable from Account Number 22-521648, a non budgeted item.
