AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Million One Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($2,100,000.00) from the District Stormwater Fund to be used for sewer
rehabilitation in Stormwater Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2024) (13129) in the City of
St. Louis and various municipalities in St. Louis County and Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53089 with SAK Construction,
LLC for sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sewer rehabilitation is One Million Nine Hundred
Sixty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($1,966,425.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand
Five Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($133,575.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the District Stormwater Fund for sewer rehabilitation
in Stormwater Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2024) (13129) in the City of St. Louis and
various municipalities in St. Louis County and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said
contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53089
with SAK Construction, as the lowest responsible bidder for sewer rehabilitation in Stormwater
Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2024) (13129) in the City of St. Louis and various
municipalities in St. Louis County and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received on the 21st day of February, 2024.
