RESOLUTION N0. 76-77
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
PERSONNEL MANUAL RELATING TO BREAK TIME.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood recommended
that the public works employees who are at a~ob site in the field
not return to the City Yard for break time, but to take the break
at the ~ob site; and
WHEREAS, it was noted that the time expended by the various
public works employees in traveling to and from the City Yard for
their break time was excessive and unnecessary; and
WHEREAS, by leavin~ a~ob site unattended, there looms the
possibility of liability in having tools and equipment lying around
at an uncompleted ~ob site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood does hereby amend the Public Works Department Personnel
Manual, dated December 7, 1971, by prohibiting public works employees
who are at a~ob site in the field to return to the City Yard for
break time, and to direct that they remain at their ~ob site for
break time.
