RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFURNIA, ESTABLISHING A C E T A
POSITION OF ADMINISTRATTVE ANALYSTo
WHEREAS, the Per~onnel Board of the City of Lynwood,
California, recommendea the establishment of a Comprehensive
Employment and Training Act (CETA) pos~tion of Administrative
Analyst; and
WHEREAS, the proposed position of Administrative Analyst
would be beneficial to the City of Lynwood in the adm3nistrat~on
o~ City se~vices;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood, does he:reby establish a Comprehensive
Employment and T~a~n~ng Act (CETA) position of Administrative
Analyst and directs that the attached specifications be included
in the 1974 Employee Classifi~ation P1an:
ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST
CETA Requirements: Must be unemployed for 30 days and ~ resident
of Lynwoodo
The Position
Operates by assi~nment of the City Manager in the administrative
services of the Cityo
Example~ of.Duties
Researches and prepares staff reports in the areas of organization,
compensation, budget, personnel policies; conducts assigned
researcho Adm~nisters special personnel and other functions such
as C~ty activit~es unda~ Federal Manpower Programs as assignedo
Assists in preparation of C~ty Council Agenda. Coordinates
activit~es of clerical and other employees as assigned, such as
required in solv~ng c.~tizen compla~ntso Performs related work
as as~igned~

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of prineiples, pr~ctices and techniques in Public or
Busine~s Administrationo
Knowledge of research techniques, includin~ intermediate statisticso
Ability to write comprehensive reports; research and analyze data;
ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with
others~
Indicators of Preparation for Work
College courses in business and public administration, or experience
in administrative work, or any combination of training and experience
which may provide the required knowledge, ability and skills,
