RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING RULE VI (APPLICATIONS AND APPLICANTS) SEC, 3
(DISQUALIFICATIONS) OF THE PERSONNEL RULES AND
REGULATIONSo
WHEREAS, the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood,
California, did recommend approval to the City Council of
making ce:rtain amendments to the Personnel Rules and Regulations
by updating Section 3(Disqualifications) of Rule VI (Applications
and Applicants) to meet existing governmental requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
o£ the City of Lynwood hereby amends Rule VI, Section 3 of the
Personnel Rules and Regulations to read as follows:
"Section 3> Disqualification: The Personnel Officer
shall re~ect any application which indicates on its face that
the applicant does not possess the minimum qualifications
required for the position. Applications also shall be reviewed
if the applicant is not a citizen of the United States, is
physically unfit for the performance of the duties, is addicted
to habitual use of dru~s, ~as been convicted of crime involving
moral turpitude, has made any false statement of any material
fact or practice, or attempted to practice any deception or
fraud in h~s application. In order to determine whether an
applicant has been convicted of a crime of moral turpitude, the
Personnel Gfficer hereby is authorized, pursuant to Penal Code
(1105)(b)(10) of the State of California Penal Code, to receive
State summary criminal activity information."
