RESOLUTION N0. 76-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 2
OF RULE XI, ATTENDANCE AND LEAVES, OF THE
PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING
TO SICK LEAVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, received and reviewed a recommendation from the
Personnel Board of said City relating to amendment of Rule XI,
Section 2, of the Personnel System Rules and Regulations
pertaining to Sick Leave; and
WHEREAS, said proposed amendment would ensure that
holiday and vacation benefits are not extended without due
cause;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Lynwood does hereby amend Section 2(Sick Leave)
of Rule XI (Attendance and Leaves) by adding the following
sentence:
"Section 2. Sick Leave ............................
.....................Any employee who is sick the day before
a holiday or the day after a holiday, or the day before
vacation or the day after vacation, may be required to present
to the Personnel Officer a written doctor's statement
certifying that the individual was ill."
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th day of October, 1976.
