RESOLU~ION NO. 76-9g
9 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD NOTIFYING THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT THROUGH LOS ANGELES
COUNTY DEPAR'3'MENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, OF
THE CITY'S INTENr TO APPLY FOR HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1977.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood intends to apply for block grant funds
under Title I, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has conducted studies and is
carryir.g out the planning necessary to submit an application for said block
grant furads; arnd
WHEREAS, the C'sty of Lyn.avood is a city greatly in need of housing
rehabilitation and ~ornmunity development assistance; and
WHEREAS, funding during the ensuing fiscal year would allow
expansion of the City's existing housing and community development programs
which are presently under way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'T RESOLVED, the City of Lynwood
hereby iniorrns the U. S. Depa~°tmer~t of Housing and Urban Development
through the Los Angel~s Cour?ty Department of Community Development, of
its €ntention to apply for blocFc grant furds under Title I of the Housing and
Community Devekopment Act of 1974; and authorizes the Mayor to sign a
letter of intent a~.d forward to the County officials.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 1976.
