RESOLU'~ION NO. 76-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD EXPRESSING ITS INTEN'?' TO SEEK FUNDS
UNDER THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
ACT OF 1974 THROUGH A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood intends to seek Community Development
Block Grant funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood must seek funds for said program
through a Cooperative Agreement with the County of Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles intends to allocate a portion
of its Community Development Block Grant funds to cities within the County
under 50, 000 population; and
WHEREAS, the deadline for notifying the County of Los Angeles and
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development of the City
of Lynwood's intention to enter into a cooperative agreement with the County
of Los Angeles is December 15, 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign a Cooperative Agreement
with the Coanty of Los Angeles for application for Community Development
B~ock Grant funds under the Housir~g and Commu~nity Development Act of 1974.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 1976.
