RESOLUTION NO. 13-8686
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO DIRECT THE CITY
MANAGER TO REASSESS AND CEASE FURLOUGH
DAYS FOR EMPLOYEES BY MID YEAR, IF FINANCIAL
CONDITIONS PERMIT; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the budget recommended by the City Administration calls for furlough days
for employees as a cost saving measure; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires the City Manager to
reassess, and if possible, cease furloughs for employees by mid-year, if financial conditions
permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, authorizes and directs the
City Manager to reassess, and if possible, cease furlough days for employees by mid-year, if
financial conditions permit.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September, 2013.
