SEEK FUNUS t~NDEH THE HOUSING AND COMMUT~Ti'~'~'
DEti E LOPMEN'T A CT OF 1974 THROUGH A
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE COUlV~TY O~'
LOS ANGELES OR THRC~UGH APPLICATION FOR
SMSA ME~'ROPOLITAN DISCRETIONARY ~'UNDS.

WHEREAS, the Cit,y of Lynwood intends to seek Community Development
Bloek Gran± funds u~ndQr the Housing an~ Community Developznent Ar.t of 1974; and
WHEREAS9 tla.~ City of Lynwood has the choice of seeking fur~ds for
sa.icl program through a cooperative ag.reement ~;vith the County of Los An~eles
or through application for SM,SA Metropolitan Discretionary funds; and
WHEREASa the County of Los Angeles intends to allocate a portion
of its hold harmPess allocation of Community Development B1ock Grant funds
*o ~.~*i~s ~n~it.+7ic^, the County under 509 000 population; and
WHEREAS, t~ie SMSA Metropolitan Diseretiona:r°y fund is depleted;

WHEREAS, the deadline for notifying the County of Los Angeles and
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Developrnent of the City
of Lynivoodos intention to enter into a cooperative agreement with the County
of Los Angeles is January 13, 1975;
NOW, THEREFORE- BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION le That the City Council hereby authorizes the mayor
to s~gr~ a c:ooperative agreexnent with the County of Los Angeles for application
for Commur,ity Developmextt Block Grant fund~ under the Housing and
Cor_~munity Developme~t Act of 1974,
SECTION 2~ The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon of
`his Resoltxtior:,
