HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 1386_ ,~ ORDIIANCE NO. 1386 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ADDING SECTIONS 3-18,D AND 3-19 A,B AND C TO THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE SALE AND DISPLAY OF AEROSOL SPRAY PAINT CONTAINERS, MARKERS, AND GLASS CUTTING OR ETCHING TOOLS, AND SPRING- LOADED CENTER PUNCH IMPLEMENTS The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Sections 3-18,d and 3-19 a, b, and c is hereby added and repeals Section 3-21 (103). The Lynwood Municipal Code to read as follows: _ ~ - ~ 3 -18 SALE TO MINORS - - - - - _- _ _ _ _ _ d. Every person who owns, conducts, operates or manages a retail commercial establishment selling aerosol spray paint containers, or marker pens with tips exceeding four millimeters in .width, containing anything other than a solution which can be removed with water after it dries, shall store or cause such aerosol spray paint containers, marker pens, glass cutting or etching tools, and spring-loaded center punch implements to be stored in an area not accessible to the public without employee assistance, pending legal sale or disposition of such paint containers or marker pens. Violation of this section is a misdemeanor. 3-19 POSSESSION OF GRAFFITI IMPLEMENTS a. It is unlawful for any person who is less than w eighteen years of age to have i his or her possession any graffiti implement except for the minors'_useā€¢ under the supervision of the minors' parent, ., _. :.._ -. _.._ ~ __ (f.'.:w~~ ~..r??'1 i 1. It is unlawful for any person who is less than eighteen years of age to have in his or her possession any graffiti implement while upon public property in the City of Lynwood including public highways,, streets, alleys or ways, except under the supervision of an adult or guardian. c.
