AMI.'NDING RESOLUTION NO, 2843 REGARDING THE
YF:R~ON~tiEI~ ~YSTEM RULES AND REGUL£~TIONS OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
Wf~F:REAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is authorized and
d~rE:~cte~a und~:r thc=. provisions of Ordina~ce No, 671 to adopt rules and regulations
i•;c tl:t a~~rninis±ration cf the p~rsonnel system created in such ordinance, subject
tc~ ,~~~prr~~rr ~f the Per~onnel Board; ~nd
WIIF.REAS9 the Per~onne~ Board has approved the modification of such
r°~;~~ ~ a;~d x•egu~atior?.~ established hereby; and
WHEREASy th~e City of Lynwood has been 2uthorized under the provisions
~_~t thr:a Cempr~~hen~ive Employment and ~I'raining Act of 1974, to employ certain
p~ r=>n7ne1 unc~er the providion~ of such Act; and
~'G'HEREL~,S, the existing Personnel System Rules and Regulations of the
C:; ~: oi L-,•::.~, oc>dp as established in Re~olution No. 2843, do not now provide for
'r:~ ~~rnp'+n.rm~-!:t of ~er~onnel under the terms and conditions of such Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
t;~ t~-b~, ~:xcE~~~ re~r~lve that Rule IX hereby is amended by the addition of the
foilowir~~g SF^ct~ion 9:
Se-c*ion 9: Employment Uncier the Comprehensive Employment and
Trainit:g Act of 1974: Notwithstanding any provisions hereof to the contrary,
pf:=rsor~{nEY ~mp~oyed by the City of Lynwood under the Comprehensive
E:n~`c~~~-mc~r.t and Training Aci of 1974 may be continued ln the status of
t+ :~nF;c?r<~ry non-r~la~sifled Qmployee~ for the duration of the funding of such
=~rriplo~;~nt-nt ixnder su~h Act.
