LYNWOOD
AUTHOP,IZING THE COUCITY OF LOS APIGELES DEPART[~1EPJT
OF URBAPd AFFAIRS TO CONDUCT BUILDIrIG REHABILITATIOPi
LJITHIN THE INCORPORATED P.REA
G]HEREAS, there exists within the City of Lynwood
several boarded up houses owned by the United States Department of I-iousing
and Urban Development, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles, through its Department of Urban
Affairs, is assisting HUD in the rehabilitation and resal.e of such houses
to owner occupants, thereby relieving undesirable conditions in the areas
where such houses are located, and
WHEREAS, HUD has offered several of such properties, located within
the City of Lynwood
to the County, and the County has
requested the City's approval and consent to carry?ng out such a program
within the City boundaries, and _
WHEREAS, the rehabilitation of such properties will improve conditions
within the City and provide employmert opportunities for local area
residents.
NOW, TFiEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: The City of _ Lvnwood does hereby consent to
the County of Los Angeles, through its Department of Urban Affairs, acting
as Bulk Sales Coordinator and Purchaser of HUD and FHA owned properties
within its City boundaries, and does consent to the County perfermino all
necessary functions to achieve the rehabilitation and resale of such
properties.

ex_rzssly conditioned upon the City's right to 4~ithdra4T its apprcva~ at
ar.y tir.?e, by actior. of the City Council, and the County's agreement that,
upon receipt by the Board of Supervisors of written notice of such with-
drawal, the County will cease all future projects, within the City, and
r*ierely complete those under construction at the date of such notice.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution
and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the County of Los Angeles
Department of Urban Affairs.
