RESOLUTION NO. 13-8689
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY CLERK TO NOTIFY THOSE RESIDENTS ON THE
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA LIST OF ANY
AND ALL SPECIAL MEETINGS BY WAY OF U.S. MAIL,
ELECTRONIC MAIL OR TELEPHONE; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires that the residents are
notified of City Commission Meetings, including Special meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission would like to put in place a procedure for the City
Clerk to notify those residents who receive the regular commission agenda, to also receive
notification of Special meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes the City
Clerk to notify the residents on the regular agenda list, of any and all Special meetings, either by
U.S. Mail, electronic mail or telephone. The previous restriction on the use of CodeRed shall be
loosened to permit the City Clerk to use CodeRed to notify residents of special meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, authorizes the City Clerk
to notify those residents on the regular agenda list of any and all special meetings, either by U.S.
Mail, electronic mail or telephone, as practicable. The previous restriction on the use of CodeRed
shall be loosened to permit the City Clerk to use CodeRed to notify residents of special meetings.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
