RESOLUTION NO. 75-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
CONFIRMING TFiE ESTABLISHMENT OF A 28-DAY WORK CYCLE
FOR ALL CITY ~MPLOYEES
Safety
WHEREAS, the City Manager on December 26, 1974, directed that
effective December 28, 1974, a 28-day work cycle be established for the safety
personnel in the Fire Department and a 14-day work cycle be established for the
safety personnel in the Police Department for purposes of 7(k) provisions of the
Fair Labor Standards Act Amendment of 1974; and,
WHEREAS, on March 18, 1975, the City Manager has further
directed that the work cycle for safety personnel in the Police Department be
changed to a 28-day period; and,
WHEREAS, he has forwarded to the departments affected, copies
of the aforesaid administrative directions and has caused same to be posted
within said departments; and,
WHEREAS, this City Council wishes to confirm the aforesaid actions
of the City Manager and to declare a 28-day work cycle for all safety employees
of the City of Lynwood.
NOW, TEIEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYIVWOOD HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Council hereby confirms and declares the establishment of
a work cycle of 28-days in duration applicable to all safety personnel employed
by the City of Lynwood in compliance with Section 7(k) of the Fair Labor Standards
Act Amendments of 1974.
2. Each and all of the remaining provisions of the aforesaid
administrative directions hereby are also confirmed,
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 18th DAY OF MARCH,
1975.
