A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF° PROPERTY NECESSARY
FOR THE WIDENING ANDIMPROVEMENT OF LONG BEACH
BOULE VA RD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has determined
that the widening and improvement of Long Beach Bouievard from the northerly
to the southerly boundarf~s of the C`ity is necessary for the convenience, weifare,
and safety of the public, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best interest of the City shall
be served by the acquisition of property ne~cessary for said widening, and
WHEREAS, the City has appropriated certain funds for this acquisition
and development, and
WHEREAS, the City Council h~s received an Evnironmental Impact
Statement on the Long Beaeh Boulevard Project and have determined that no
significant ermvfronmental impact will oceur in the completion of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 'I"HE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CI'I`Y OF LYNWOOD AS F"OLLOWSe
Section 1. The following described property is nee2ssary for the
widening of Long Bea~h BouYevard:
Parcel 380
That portion of Lot 14 of Tract No. 2794, in the City of Lynwood,
County of Los Angel~s, State of Caiffornia, as per map recorded in Book
28 page 6 of Maps9 in the office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as foYlow~o
Beg~nning at the r~orthwest corner of said lot; thence easterly along
the northerY,y 1ir~e of said Yot to ihe begirarning of a tangent curve con-
cave sor~theast~rYy h~vir~g a r~dius of 17 feet, said curve also being
tangent at its southerT~y terminus to a Yine that is parallel with and
distant easterly 10 feet (measured at right angles) from the westerly
line oi s~id lot; the~ce souther9.y alor~g said curve to said point of
tangeney in said par~llel Yine; thernee southerly atong said paraliel
lin~ to the southerly lfne of the northerYy half of said Lot 14; thence

S~~tion 2~ That the purehase pr~ce for the above described property
has been rn~gotiatEd with E, R. H~nke and Kathryn W. Hanke in the amount of
$1300e
Section 3. That the City Council authorize and direct City Staff to take
whatever steps necessary to accept this property in accordance with the terms and
conditions as set forth above,
