LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE, FOR THE IMPOSITION OF NEW
BUSINESS LICENSE TAXES ON PERSONS ENGAGED IN ERECTING OR
MAINTAINING ADVERTISING STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF"THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES ORDAIN AS '
FOLLOWS:;
. Section 1, Chapter 4 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is.
amended as follows.:.
(i) Subparagraphs (a), (b), (c) and (d) of subsection
4-7.9a.1 are redesignated as subparagraphs (b'), (c),
(d), and~(e), respectively. ,
. (ii) Anew subparagraph (a) is added to subsection.4-7
.9.a1 to read as follows:.: ~.
` `' "(a) Advert-sing structures: For each person
who erects or maintains a billboard or similar
.,.structure of any kind. or character foroff=premise."
advertising~dsplays, and upon which-any poster,"
., bill, printing, painting, or other advertisement ;
of any nature may be ,placed for off-premises
, .advertising purposes, the applicable license ``~~
fee will consist of a flat fee, plus an
additional fee for~each sign face, whchfees
will be established by resolution. All .
advertising structures must, comply with the ,
provisions of Subsection 25-33 of Chapter 25
. of this-code.
. .Section 2. The City Council finds and determines that '
this ordinance, which is enacted ..for the purpose of~raisi~ng .
revenue from business license taxes, relates to taxes for the
` usual and current expenses"of the City within the, meaning of
_- Government Code- Section 36937 (d). Therefore, this ordinance

'Section 3. The City Clerk is directed ,to certify to "
the passage and adoption of this ordinance and to cause it to be
pub]_shed or posted as required by law. ,
