AWARD OF BID
2010 MULTl-PARKS IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the 20 I 0
Multi-Parks Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received three (3) bid proposals for the 2010
Multi-Parks Improvements Project as follows:

WHEREAS, Zenith Construction, has submitted. the lowest bid for said contract
pertaining to Proposal A as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's
Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has
recommended the award of a contract for Proposal A - Carteret Park Improvements be
awarded to Zenith Construction,.in a total amount not to exceed $179,520.05; and
WHEREAS, Tee-Con Contractors, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract
pertaining to Proposal B as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's
Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has
recommended the award of a contract for Proposal B- Little Park Improvements be
awarded to Tee-Con Contractors, in a total amount not to exceed $210,475.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
I. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into
a contract with Zenith Construction, 256 Grant A venue, East Newark, NJ
for Proposal A-Carteret Park Improvements with regard to the 2010 Multi-
Parks Improvements Project for the sum of $179,520.05 in accordance in
all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.
2. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into
a contract with Tee-Con Contractors, 9 Dodd Street, East Orange, NJ for
Proposal B- Little Park Improvements with regard to the 2010 Multi-Parks
Improvements Project for the sum of $210,475.00 in accordance in all
respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.

3. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Borough Engineer.
4. That the aforementioned award of both contracts is contingent upon
fonnal approval from the New Jersey Department of Labor and the
Division of\Vage and Hour Compliance.
