RESOLUTION NO. 13-8700
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO PURCHASE TEN (10) NEW VEHICLES FOR THE
OPA-LOCKA POLICE DEPARTMENT; PAYABLE FROM
ACCOUNT NUMBER 22-521648, A NON-BUDGETED ITEM;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to equip the Police
Department with new vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the
City Manager to purchase ten (10) new vehicles for the Opa-locka Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and
directs the City Manager to purchase ten (10) new vehicles for the Opa-locka Police
Department; payable from account number 22-521648, a non-budgeted item, to be funded from
money raised from previously seized property, from grant opportunities, and from
intergovernmental agreements, to be used by day to day officers for patrol purposes.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
