HomeMy Public PortalAbout75-069 (07-01-75)~ c RESOLUTION NO. 75-69 ~ , A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING SALARY RESOLUTION NO. 75-63 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Salary Resolution No. 75-63 of the City of Lynwood be amended to include the following salaries and wages for employees of the various classifications falling within the schedule enumerated below and made a part hereof, effective at the beginning of the first regular pay period subsequent to the adoption of this resolution. Said salaries shall remain in effect until such time as the conditions stipulated in Article II of the Memorandum of Understanding 1975-76 between the City of Lynwood and the Lynwood Fire Fighters' Association become effective. That sick leave payoff to all employees covered by the Memorandum of Understanding dated July 1, 1975, shall be made pursuant to Rule 11, Section 2 of the Personnel Rules and Regulations and shall be paid ' l~~SQLUTION NO. ~ ' Page 2 to the retiring employee through the following formula; 50% or $2, 000 upon retirement -- whichever is lesser; 50% of the remaining balance in the first fiscal year following retirement effective the first pay period following July 1, . 1975 with final payment in the second fiscal year following retirement effective the first pay period following July 1, 1977. Section 3. That effective the first pay period following August 1, 1975, uniformed fire personnel shall be provided annually a uniform replacement allowance of $80 to all classifications represented by the Association. An additional $20 increase in uniform allowance shall be accorded to said members effective January 1, 1975, which shall thereafter result in a total annual uniform replacement allowance of $100. Section 4. That effective July 1, 1975, the City shall amend its tuition reimbursement program applicable to Fire Department personnel to establish the City's contribution to the cost of tuition at a maximum rate not to exceed $10 per unit. Employees who have attained their Associate of Arts degree in Fire Science shall receive a 5% increase in their base salary and shall cease to receive premium pay upon receipt of said degree. Section 5. That the aforesaid Salary Resolution be amended to include Salary Range 24G (Step A $2479 -- Step E $1804) for the position of Public Works Superintendent. Section 6. That the hourly salary range for the position of Mechanic Helper be amended to establish the hourly wage of Step A $3. 23 -- Step E $4.50. Section 7. That the Special Assignment Compensation Leadman title be amended to read Public Works/Recreation Custodial Leadman. RESOLUTION NO. Page 3 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 1st day of July, 1975.
