HomeMy Public PortalAbout75-070 (07-01-75) RESOLUTION NO. 75-70 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD STATING ITS INTENTION TO INITIATE ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS AND DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO FILE ANNEXATION APPLICATIONS WITH LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is desirous of initiating annexation proceedings for the annexation of certain territory to the City of Lynwood, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does find, determine, resolve and order as follows: The City AdministratoX is hereby directed to make application to the Local Agency Formation Commission in the form prescribed by the Commission and in accordance with the provisions of Government Code Section 54792 for the annexation of the property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, to the City of Lynwood. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Lynwood is hereby authorized to execute such application on behalf of the City of Lynwood. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of J (SEAL) ATTEST: 1975. erk'of the City of Lynwood WATTS PARK TRACT ANNEXATION (Jones Lumber Co Legal Description: Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 10 in Block C of Watts Park Tract as shown on map filed in Book 8, page 70 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence easterly along the southerly line of said lot, said line being also the boundary of the City of Lynwood as said boundary line existed on January 9, 1974, a distance of 94 feet; thence South 70 32' East along said boundary line 20 feet to the intersection of the centerline of 108th Street, formerly Second Street (40 feet wide), as shown on Map of Watts Park Tract recorded in Book 8, page 70 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence South 82° 28' West along said centerline of 108th Street (formerly Second Street) 429 feet to the intersection of the centerline of Watts Avenue (40 feet wide), as shown on last mentioned map; thence 7° 32' West along said center- line to the intersection of the boundary line of the City of Lynwood, said boundary line being the northerly line of 107th Place, formerly First Street (40 feet wide), as shown on map of Watts Park Track filed in Book 8, Page 70 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence easterly along said boundary line and following the same in all its various courses to the point of beginning.
