HomeMy Public PortalAbout13-8701 Search for Lower Health Insurance Coverage Sponsored by: Commissioner Holmes RESOLUTION NO. 13-8701 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TOGETHER WITH THE CITY'S INSURANCE AGENT OF RECORD TO SEARCH FOR LOWER HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires The City Manager together with the city's insurance Agent of Record to search for an insurance company that will provide a lower premium on Health Insurance Coverage for City employees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager together with the city's insurance Agent of Record to search for and find lower health insurance coverage for City employees which would include a Wellness Program and to report back to the City Commission within 30 days. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
