RESOLUTION NO, 75-72
A RESOLUTION OF ~'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
RECOMMENDING AND REQUESTING PAINTING OF BOARDED
WINDOWS AND DOORS OF HUD-OWNED HOMES IN LYNWOOD
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood and Department of Housing and Urban
Development are continuing to work cooperatively 'in an effort to properly
maintain and eventually recycle HUD-owned residential properties within the
Community; and
WHEREAS, to supplement these efforts, the City of Lynwood would
recommend that the Department of Housing and Urban Development paint the
boards presently covering windows and doors of HUD-owned residential structures
to further reduce the unattractive appearance of these boarded exteriors and
WHEREAS, the painting of plyboard coverings on HUD-owned homes
could impact the incidence of crime by rendering the aforesaid properties
less conspicuous as vacant structures,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD THAT THE COUNCIL HEREBY recommends and
requests the Department of Housing and Urban Development to paint boarded
windows and doors of HUD-owned homes within the City of Lynwood.
