HomeMy Public PortalAbout75-083 (08-05-75)., RESOLUTION N0.75-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS ACTIONS TO ORDER VACATION OF A CERTAIN EASEMENT. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has been petitioned by the Lynwood Unified School District to consider relinquishment of a water line easement on Lots 1-10, Tract 10978; Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Tract 8641; Lots 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, Tract 10978, in the general vicinity of Duncan Avenue and Beechwood Avenue, in the City of Lynwood, California; and WHEREAS, the City no longer requires said easements for utility purposes; and WHEREAS, there is no other public utility within the easements, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood resolves as follows: Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lynwood to vacate all of the easement hereafter described. Section 2. The easement proposed to be vacated is described as a four moot w~de_water-.main easemen-~=wlyi~g 138 feet east of the easterly right-of-way line of Duncan Avenue, beginning at the southerly right-of-way line of Beechwood Avenue and extending in a southerly direction across Lots 1 through 10, Tract No. 10978 and Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Tract 9641 to the northerly right-of-way line of Sanborn Avenue including six, four foot wide, easements lying 142 feet east of said easterly right-of-way line of Duncan Avenue, and whose centerlines are in common with Lots 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, g-10, respectively, Tract No. 10978, and Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Tract No. 9641, said easements extending in an easterly direction to the easterly property lines of said lots and tracts, all as shown on Map No. 75-78A on file in the office of the City Clerk, and reference is made to said map or plan for further particulars. Section 3. On August 5, 1975, the City Council held a ~l~ J 1 public hearing and determined from the evidence submitted that the easement is unnecessary for present or prospective use.
