AND 12 OF CHAPTER 25 OF THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL
CODE TO DELETE CARPORTS, PORTE COCHERES AND
COMMERCIAL RADIO AND TELEVISION TRANSMITTING
ANTENNAS AS PERMITTED USES IN R-1 (SINGLE
FAMILY) AND R-2 (TWO FAMILY) RESIDENTIAL ZONES,
- TO MAKE RELATED CHANGES IN SECTION 25-4.6 c:3

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 25 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is hereby
amended as follows:
(i) Section 25-4.2 c of the Lynwood Municipal Code is amended
to read:
25-4.2 c Accessary Uses
Accessory uses permitted in

d. Existing Uses
Any primary or accessory residential use established in conformance
with ordinance provisions in effect prior to amendments making that
use nonconforming may remain as a legal nonconforming use unless
determined by the City Council to be hazardous or a public
nuisance.
(ii) Section 25-4.6 c.3 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:

radio transmitting antennas, in accordance with the provisions
of subsection 25-16.4
(iii). Section 25-4.7 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
25-4.7 Large Family Day Care Homes
1. Large family day care homes shall be allowed in all
residential zones as accessory uses provided that:
(a) Site plan approval is obtained as provided in Section
25-32 herein.
(b) The,use complies with the home occupation provisions
of Section 17-91, et seq., of the Lynwood Municipal Code,
except that employees shall be allowed, if required by state
law because of the age of children cared for; the pedestrian
or vehicular traffic shall not cause adverse -effect s- upon "the =~~`
neighborhood; and the use may not occupy more than four
hundred (400) square feet of floor space.
(c) No other day care use is located in a residential
zone within five hundred (500) feet of the proposed location,
unless such other day care use is located across a freeway or
major highway from the proposed use.
(d) The proposed location has control of the off-site
parking for employees, without widening the driveway or in any
other way paving in the front yard; and adequate off-street
parking spaces shall be provided in sufficient number to
prevent adverse effects upon the neighborhood.
(e) The use shall be limited to the hours of 6:00 a. m
to 6:00 p. m.
(f) The applicant is duly licensed by the State of
California to conduct this use.
(g) Adequate space and facilities are available in the
dwelling to provide uncrowded living conditions therein._._,

displayed, either attached to the building or within 4 feet of the
front of the building. Any free standing sign shall not exceed 4
feet in height.
(iv) Section 25-16.4 b. of the Lynwood Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
b. Approval of antennas. Radio and television antennas,
including satellite receiving or transmission antenna systems and
microwave antenna systems may be installed, erected and maintained
when permitted within the land use zones of the City but only in
accordance with FCC regulations and the provisions of this
subsection.
