RESOLUTION NO. 75-85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
NECESSARY FOR THE WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT OF
LONG BEACH BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has determined that
the widening and improvement of Long Beach Boulevard from the northerly to the
southerly boundaries of the City is necessary for the convenience, welfare, and
safety of the public, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best interest of the
City shall be served by the acquisition of property necessary for said widening, and
WHEREAS, the City has appropriated certain funds for this acquisition
and development, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received an Environmental Impact
statement on the Long Beach Boulevard Project and have determined that no
significant environmental impact will occur in the completion of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described property is necessary for the
widening of Long Beach Boulevard:
Parcel 13
That portion of Lot 31 of Tract No, 2851, in the City of Lynwood,
iq,the County!of Los~~Ac~geles,~~State of Califlornia, afi'per~~map recorded
In book 24 pages 78, 79 and~$0 of Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of said lot; thence
westerly along the southerly line of said lot to a line that
is 10.00 feet westerly, measured at right angles, from the
easterly line of said lot; thence northerly along the last
described line to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
southwesterly having a radius of 17. 00 feet, the northerly
terminus of said curve also being tangent to the southerly
line of the land condemned by deed recorded in book 11203
page 78 Official Records of said county, by the City of
Lynwood; thence northerly along said curve to last said southerly
line; thence easterly along last said southerly line to the
easterly line of said lot; thence southerly along said easterly
line of said lot to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That the purchase price for the above described property
has been negotiated with Hildred Meidell, in the amount of $1310.

Section 3. That the City Council authorize and direct City Staff
to take whatever steps necessary to accept this property in accordance with the terms
and conditions as set forth above.
