RESOLUTION N0. 75-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF WARRANTS
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood has
retained certain warrants in the lawful execution of her
responsibilities which are no longer required; and
WHEREAS, Government Code ~ 34og0 permits the head
of a city department to destroy any city record, document, instrument,
book or paper, under his charge, without making a copy thereof, after
the same is no longer required;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The records to be destroyed pursuant to
this resolution do not include records the destruction of which is
specifically prohibited by Government Code §34090 namely:'
(a) Records affecting the title to real property
or liens thereon;
(b) Court Records;
(c) Records required to be kept by statute;
(d) Records less than five years old;
(e) The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the
legislative body of the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The written consent of the City Attorney has
been obtained prior to the destruction of any and all city records
pursuant to this resolutions.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is
hereby authorized to destroy all and any warrants completed prior to
July 1, 1968.

AYES: COUNCILMEN Byork, Green, Liewer, Morris, Rowe.
NOES: COUNCILMEN None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN None.
