HomeMy Public PortalAbout1994-025Member Ann Thies adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved its CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 94-25 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 94-05 REGARDING ASSESSMENT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF MEDINA ROAD BETWEEN TAMARACK DRIVE AND COUNTY ROAD 24 WHEREAS, on February 1, 1994, following a public hearing on the proposed assessment of benefitted properties, the city council adopted Resolution No. 94-05 adopting an assessment roll regarding the improvement of Medina Road between Tamarack Drive and County Road 24 and identifying therein the properties benefitted by said improvement; and WHEREAS, upon further review of the proposed improvement after a public hearing on April 5, 1994, the council has determined to modify the original improvement plan by making certain changes in the vicinity of Medina Road and Mohawk Drive; and WHEREAS, the owners of two properties located on Mohawk Drive had previously objected to the assessment for Medina road on the grounds that the proposed improvement would be of no benefit to their properties; and WHEREAS, the city council has now determined to make the improvement project in such a way that it no longer believes the two properties located on Mohawk Drive will be benefitted by the improvement . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina, Minnesota as follows: 1. The city clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to delete the following from the list of properties to be certified to Hennepin County regarding special assessments for Medina Road: a} Lot 1, Block 1, Angus Estates 2nd, owned by David J. Osgood and Mary A. Osgood; and RHB67638 ME230-167 b) Lot 2, Block 1, Angus Estates 2nd, owned by John Schulz and Michelle Schulz . 2. Except as noted above, the clerk -treasurer shall take all actions appropriate and necessary to certify those special assessments authorized by Resolution No. 94-05 to Hennepin County prior to November 30, 1994 for collection with taxes beginning in 1995 and in all other respects said resolution remains in full force and effect.
