RESOLUTION NO. 75-97
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS AND
DIRECTING THE SiJPERINTF,NDENT OF STREETS
TO ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING
WEEDS THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF
LAND IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California
did on the 5th day of August, 1.975, adopt Resolution No. 75-87 relating to
the abatement of dry and drying weeds on certain parcels of land in the C°ity
of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy such weeds by posting
"Notice to Destroy Weeds" notices, as required by l.aw, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of protests
and objections to said matter, a hearing was duly held and written or oral
objections were made to the doing of said work, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has considered
all the facts and is fully informed in the matter, and they have acquired jurisdiction
to proceed and perform the work or removval of said nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED that tl-ie Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood be a.r~d he is hereby instructed to abate the nuisanoe
described in said Resolution No. 75-87 by having said nuisances referred to removed,
and he and his assistants are hereby expressly authorized to enter upon private
property for° that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners shall have the
right to have any such nuisance removed and abated at his own expense, provided such
work is done prior to the time the work is done by the Superintendent of Streets. If
the work is done by the property owner, no charge shall be made by the City of
Lynwood .
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1975
