RESOLUTION NO. 94-26
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE
COUNTY ROAD 116 TRUNK SANITARY SEWER PILING
IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina (the "City") has previously
determined to construct a trunk sanitary sewer line generally from a point south of
T.H. 55 in a northerly direction to service the Doerr/Lundgren property; and
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a contract for construction of the trunk
sewer but the contractor has been unable to complete a portion of the work due to
the need to support the pipe with pilings because of the poor soil conditions; and
WHEREAS, Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik & Associates has prepared plans and
specifications for said pilings, work, which plans and specifications have been
presented to the City; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to advertise for bids for the pilings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of
Medina, Minnesota as follows:
1. The plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The city clerk -treasurer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids
upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and
specifications . The advertisement shall be published according to law,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received
until 11: 00 a.m. C . D . T . on June 2, 1994 and then publicly opened in
the council chambers by the clerk -treasurer and engineer and tabulated
and then will be considered by the council at 7 : 30 p.m. on June 7,
1994, in the council chambers of the city hall. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be
given an opportunity to address the council on the issue of

responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the clerk -treasurer and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond or
certified check payable to the clerk -treasurer for 5 per cent of the
amount of such bid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Philip Zietlow
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof :
John Ferris, Johnson, Ann Thies, Zietlow and Mayor Anne Theis
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
