RESOLUTION NO. 13-8715
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXPLORE THE COST OF PROVIDING AND
INSTALLING WI-FI SERVICES AT SHERBONDY PARK;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Wi-Fi has made it possible to connect to the Internet nearly everywhere,
eliminating much of the need for extensive wiring and dedicated work stations; Wi-Fi means the
Internet is accessible anywhere users can pick up a signal; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires that the City keep abreast
of the ever expanding outlets available in this age of technology; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission desires to direct the City Manager to explore the cost of
providing Wi-Fi Services at Sherbondy Park.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, hereby directs and
authorizes the City Manager to explore the cost of providing and installing Wi-Fi Services at
Sherbondy Park.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
