AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AMENDING CHAPTER 19
(MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC),SECTION 19-310(RIDING BICYCLE,MOTORIZED
BICYCLE OR SKATEBOARD ON SIDEWALKS), OF THE CODE BY PROHIBITING
MOTORIZED BICYCLES ON SIDEWALKS
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 19 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Section 19-310(Riding bicycle,
motorized bicycle or skateboard on sidewalks), of the Code of the City of Jefferson is
hereby amended as follows:
Sec. 19-310.Riding bicycle,motorized bicycle or skateboard on sidewalks.
A. No person shall ride a bicycle or skateboard upon a sidewalk within a business
district existing under the city zoning code.
B. Whenever any person is riding a bicycle or skateboard upon a sidewalk,such person
shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian and shall give audible signal before overtaking and
passing such pedestrian.
C. No-person shall ride a motorized bicycle urn a sidewalk.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval. -
