RESOLLTTION NO. 7~4-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY NECESSARY
FUR THE WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT OF LONG BEACH BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has detFrmined
that the widening and improvement of Long Beach Boulevard from the northe~Ti,t
to the southerly boundaries of the City is necessary for thE conveni~nc,e:,
welfare, and safety of the public, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best interest of thc C'it,y
shall be served by the acquisition of property necessary for said widening, ancl
WHEREAS, the City has appropriated certain funds for this acquijition
and development, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received an Environmental Impact
Statement on the Long Beaeh Boulevard Project and have determined that no
significant environmental impact will occur in the completion of this pro;ject,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described property is necessary for the
widening of Long Beach Boulevard:
Lot 321 of Tract 2551, in the City of Lynwood, in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 24, pages 78 to 80 inclusive of Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder of said County.
Section 2. That the purchase price for the above deseribed property
has been negotiated with James W, and Lucille M, Walker in the amount
of $18, 000. 00.
Section 3. That the City Council authorize and direct City Staff to
take whatever steps necessary to accept this property in accordance with
the terms and conditions as set forth above.
