RESOLUTION NO. 74-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ENDORSING THE METHOD OF ESTABLISHING A PRIORITY LTST
OF EXPENDITURES AND TE~E DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS FROM
THE STATE BEACH, PARK, HISTORICAL, AND
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS, AB 392, approved by the Governor of the State of California
on August 15, 1972, created the "State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical
Facilities Bond Act of 1974"; and
WHEREAS, the State of California will place said Act on the June 4, 1974,
ballot as Proposition 1; and
WHEREAS, Passage of Proposition 1 wfll create a$250 million bond fund
for the acquisition and development of beaches, parks, historfcal, and recrea-
tional facilities; and
WHEREAS, approximately $27 million of these funds will be made available
to the County of Los Angeles for eligible cities and districts within the County,
for the development of high priority local government projects; and
WHEREAS, Section 5096, 86 of the Act requires that each County shall
subrnit, prior to June 30, 1975, a priority plan of expenditures of County
Allocation; and
WHEREAS, All elfgible cities and districts are required to convene to
establish this prlority plan of expenditures; and
WHEREAS, all eligible cities and districts were invited to a meeting on
January 9, 1974 where a plan was adopted; and
WHEREAS, said plan must be approved by 50% of the jurisdictions repre-
senting 50% of the population and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervieors; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Lym~ood hereby approves the proposed method of distribution of funds and
