RESOLtJTION OF TiIE ~ITY COU~ICIL OF THE CITY OF
LYN6UOOD ADJOURNING THE D4ARCH 19, 1974, REGULAR
MEETING OF THL CITY COUNCIL TO P~IARCH 28, 1974,
AT 7:30 P.A1., TO THE BOARD ROON~ OF THE LYNWOOD
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCATED AT THE EDUCATION
CENT~R BUILDING, 11331 PLAZA STREET, LYNI^JOOD
tiNHEREAS, at the regular City Council meeting of March 19,
1974, it was requested by the School Board of the Lynwood Unified
School District that the City Council meet jointly with said School
Board on March 28, 1974, and
WHEREAS, the School Board desires to discuss with the
City Council the tax override for school buildings on the June
ballot as well as other matters of joint concern, and
WHEREAS, the space and facilities of said Council Chambers
is insufficient to accommodate all of the persons that are likely
to attend and desire to hear and to be heard on the matters pendinU
before the joint meeting, and
tiVHEREAS, an emergency exists due to the number of persons
that are likely to attend said joint meeting, and
VJHEREAS, the City ~ouncil is authorized under the provisions
of Section 2-3 of the Code of the City of Lynwood, by resolution to
adjourn meetings of the City Council to some public place outside
the Council Chambers and the City Hall with sufficient space and
facilities to accommodate all persons desiring to hear and to be
heard, and
WHEREAS, the Board Room of the Lynwood Unified School
District in the Education Center Building, located at 11331 Plaza
Street, Lynwood, is a convenient puUlic place with sufficient space
and facilities to accommodate the persons desiring to hear and be
heard;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section L The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby order that the meeting of March l9, 1974, is adjourned to
the Board Room of the Lynwood Unified School District located at
the Education Center Building, 11331 Plaza Street, Lynwood, for
the purpose of conducting a joint meeting with the School Board
of the Lynwood Unified School District.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post
a copy of this order on the door of the Council Chambers and on
each entrance door o£ the Lynwood City Hall.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the ado~tion
of this resolution.
