A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIZ OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DIRECTING THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING AT
3215 EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD TO APPEAR BEFORE THE
CITY COUNCIL TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH BUIZDING
SHOULD NOT BE CONDEMNED AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE
AND SAID NUISANCE ABATEDs AND PRESCRIBING THE
FORM OF SAID NOTICEo
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Lynwood
has filed with the City Council a report stating that Lynwood Lodge
is the owner of the building on that lot or parcel of land herein-
after describeda and that said building is substandard as defined
in the Uniform Building Code and that said building constitutes a
public nuisance in the following particulars that the building is
structurally unsound, the lot is completely overgrown and the entire
property is a health hazard~ fire hazard and an attractive nuisance.
WHEREAS, the lot or parcel of land hereinabove referred
to is described as follows: Lot 32, Block 15 of Belle Vernon Acres
in the City of Lynwood, In the County of Los Angeles, State of
Californiae as per map recorded and commonly known as 3215 E1 Segundo
BoulevardD Lynwoodo Californiao
NOWa THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDe
lo That the Building Official and the City Clerk notify
the owner of said building and if said building is encumbered by
a mortgage or a deed of trust or record, the beneficiary of said
deed of trust in the manner hereinafter stateda directing the
owner of such building and the mortgagee or beneficiary, if any,
to appear before the City Council at the Council Chambers in the
City Hall at 11330 Bullis Roado Lynwoodo Californiae on
June 5, 1974, at the hour of 7:30 pomo or as soon thereafter as
the matter can be heardo and show cause why such building should
not be condemned as a nuisance and said nuisance be abated by
reconatructing, or properly repairing said building or razing or
removing the sameo
2o The notices required in this resolution shall be
given in the following mannere The Building Official, or any
employee in the Building Department who he shall delegate, shall
post conspicuously on the building alleged to be unfit at
least one copy of the notice and shall send another copy by
registered or certified mail, postage prepaido return receipt
requested, the person owning the lot or parcel of land on
which the building is located as such person"s name and address
appear on the last equalized assessment roll or as known to the
City Clerk and to any mortgaqee or beneficiaryo and if such address
is unknown to the enforcement agency, then such fact shall be
stated in said copy so mailed and it shall be addressed to him at
the County seat of the County wherein the property is situated,
The Building Official, or employee of the Building
Department upon giving notice as aforesaid shall file an affidavit
thereof with the City Clerk certifying the time and manner in which
such notices was giveno He sha11 also file therewith any receipt
card which may be returned to him in acknowledgement of receipt of
such notice by registered or certified mailo The failure of
any owner or other person to receive said notice shall not effect
in any manner the validily of the proceedings taken hereundero
The City Clerk shall cause a notice of the time and place of said
hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Lynwoodo Said publication shall be made
at least ten days before the date set for said hearingo
