RESOLUTION N0. 74-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DIRECTING THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING AT
11~31 CALIFORNIA AVENUE TO APPEAR BEFORE THE
CITY COUNCIL TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH BUILDING
SHOULD NOT BE CONDEMNED AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE
AND SAID NUISANCE ABATED, AND PRESCRIBING THE
FORM OF SAID NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Lynwood
has filed with the City Council a report stating that Arthur M.
Cessna c/o Public Guardian is the owner of the building on that
lot or parcel of land hereinafter described, and that said
building is substandard as defined in the Uniform Building Code
and that said building constitutes a public nuisance in the
following particulars that the building is structurally unsound,
the lot is completely overgrown and the entire property is a
health hazard, fire hazard and an attractive nuisance.
WHEREAS, the lot or parcel of land hereinabove
referred to is described as follows: The east 50 feet of the
south 90 feet of Lot 467, Tract 2551, in the City of Lynwood,
in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map
recorded and commonly known as 11431 California Avenue, Lynwood,
California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l. That the Building Official and the City
Clerk notify the owner of said building and if said building is
encumbered by a mortgage or a deed of trust or record, the
beneficiary of said deed of trust in the manner hereinafter
stated, directing the owner of such building and the mortgagee
or beneficiary, if any, to appear before the City Council at the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,

California, on July 2, 1g74, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as the matter can be heard, and show cause why such
nuisance be abated by reconstructing, or property repairing said
building or razing or removing the same.
Section 2. The City Cle~c shall cause a notice of the
time and place of said hearing to be published in a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Lynwood. Said
publication shall be made at least ten days before the date set
for said hearing.
