AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITYCLERKTO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OFTHE CITYOFJEFFERSON
WITH THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE
NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM,AND AMENDING THE 2008-2009 BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI BY APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS WITHIN THE
GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, The Missouri Department of Economic Development has approved Project No. 2008-
DN-08 under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program; and
WHEREAS, This funding is to acquire and rehabilitate foreclosed homes in a specific targeted area
within Old Town;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a funding agreement
on behalf of the City of Jefferson with the Missouri Department of Economic Development Project No.
2008-DN-08.
Section 2.The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as the agreement
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3.There is hereby supplementally appropriated within the General Fund$440,776 as
indicated hereto as Exhibit B.
Section 4.This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage
and approval.

Pursuant to Article VII, Section 7.1(5.)of the Charter of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, I hereby certify
that the sums appropriated in the ordinance are available in the various funds to meet the requirements
