CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-60
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING
CONTRACT FOR WILLOW DRIVE STREET
IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Willow Drive
from its current termination to a point adjacent to Outlot A, Metro West Business Park, a
distance of approximately 700 feet, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law
and the bids summarized on Exhibit A attached hereto were found to comply with the
advertisement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. of Buffalo, Minnesota is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota as follows:
1. The mayor and clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
a contract with Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. of Buffalo, Minnesota in the name of
the city of Medina for the improvement of Willow Drive from its current
terminus to a point adjacent to Outlot A, Metro West Business Park according
to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the city council and on
file in the office of the clerk -treasurer. The amount of said contract is fifty
thousand five hundred sixty-two and 50/100th's dollars ($50,562.50).

deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until the contract has been signed.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Philip Zietlow and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Ferris, James Johnson, Ann Thies, Zietlow and Mayor Anne Theis.
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

2. This constitutes notice of intent by the city of Medina to reimburse itself in the
future from bond proceeds for this improvement.
3. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful
bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been
signed.
